Vinayaka Missions' University was established in the year 2001. The Directorate of Distance Education commenced its programmes in 2005 with the objective of widening access to higher for diversified learners at national and global levels.
The university status was conferred by Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India with the recommendations of UGC excellence in education.
